Privacy policy

We collect only what the platform needs to work. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. Basirah follows Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law.

• Account: your name, email and password (encrypted; we never see it).
• Your progress: your diagnostic result, your plan, completed lessons, drill and case results, points, badges and certificates, study time, and your library.
• Interviews: your interview scores and feedback, your stories, and expert session requests. We don't keep the text of your conversation with Basir after the interview ends, only the score and feedback.
• The Community: the experiences, questions and replies you send.
• Contact: your name, email, topic and message, and a one-way code for your device to stop spam (we don't store your device's address).
• Payment: your subscription and payment status. Your card details are handled by Moyasar and never reach us.

• Your CV and cover letter: written in your browser and downloaded as a Word file to your device; they never reach our servers.
• We don't use advertising tools or track you across other sites.

• To run your account and keep your progress across your devices.
• To tailor your plan and practice, and to show notifications.
• To answer your messages and arrange expert sessions.
• To manage subscriptions and payments, and protect the platform from misuse.

• Experiences and questions published in the Community show without your name; replies show your first name only.
• A certificate has a verification link showing your name and the course, for whoever you share it with.
• When you request an expert session, the Basirah team sees your name and email to arrange it.

We use trusted providers to run the platform. They use your data only to provide their service to us:

• Supabase: the database and sign-in.
• Vercel: hosting the site.
• Anthropic: the AI model behind Basir, which receives the interview messages during the interview only.
• Moyasar: payment processing.

Some data may be stored or processed outside Saudi Arabia by these providers, protected as the law requires.

We keep your account data while your account exists. When you delete it, we delete your data, except what the law requires us to keep (such as payment records). Published Community posts stay, without any name. Contact messages are deleted once handled.

You can see your data, ask for a copy, correct it, ask us to delete it, and withdraw your consent. Message us from the contact page using your registered email, or at basira.platform@gmail.com.

Your data is encrypted in transit, and each learner can reach only their own data. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities, as the law requires.

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in, and store preferences in your browser such as language, dark mode and CV drafts.

We may update this policy; the date of the last update is shown at the top, and we'll tell you about any important change. The Arabic text governs.
